A thesis research system exploring how social and search trends can be clustered and evaluated as possible signals of emerging business opportunities.

Context

What the work needed to solve.

The research investigates a multi-source pipeline using BERT-based language representations, clustering, and an evaluation framework developed by the team.

My contribution

  • Helped design the emerging-opportunity scoring framework.
  • Contributed to the extract, clean, transform, and load pipeline design.
  • Built a Node.js data-collection demonstration used during the thesis defense.
  • Worked on translating research assumptions into an inspectable system flow.

The pipeline distinguishes data collection, cleaning, representation, clustering, and scoring so each assumption can be examined independently.
